Über das Projekt

At Finca Santa Teresa in Huila, Martha Cecilia Rodriguezcontinues a coffee tradition that began around 80 years ago with her grandfather. The land later passed to her parents and finally to Martha and her six siblings.

Since the available cultivation area is small, Martha consciously decided against larger quantities and for more quality. She replaced the traditional coffee varieties with the high-quality and demanding Geisha variety. At 1,800 meters above sea level, this particularly fine coffee variety finds ideal conditions.

Since 2021, Martha has been processing her coffee as Naturalto bring more sweetness and complexity to the cup. For this, the coffee cherries ferment dry for 90 hours in sealed barrelsand are then sun-dried for about 30 days on a covered terrace. With our CARETRADE approach, we support producers like Martha in pursuing their own path with exceptional quality.
