We make the coffee world as we like it. And because there are still many things we don't like, there's a lot to do, especially regarding sustainability and CO2. This is not greenwashing, but a genuine mission. For us, sustainability is more than just a trend; it's at the core of our values. We persuade and work out of conviction. Every day, in every part of our value chain.
We take a holistic approach to sustainability, starting with responsible sourcing at the coffee origin. Bean by bean, the motto is: Fair, sustainable and exclusively from the underdogs of the coffee world. Because we can only effectively protect diversity in coffee if those disadvantaged in the global market also get a fair chance.
So far, so ALRIGHTY. But we also do some introspection and scrutinize every step of our processing and distribution. We are working at full throttle on our own roasting facility in the Werksviertel Munich, which will make our processes even more resource-efficient with an innovative energy supply. We always use as little material as possible and only work with recyclable film. Aluminum or paper composite material? No thanks.
Instead, everything is delivered to your home climate-neutrally via DHL go green.
Our favorite: Our business customers can order our coffee in sustainable reusable buckets within a deposit system. Because one thing is clear: No packaging waste and a closed loop is our long-term goal.
Made for Recycling
Our coffee is exclusively packaged in plastic film. All components (film, valve & zipper) are made of recyclable plastic, even the aroma barrier layer, which is often made of aluminum. Trendy paper bags may look eco-friendly, but unfortunately, when combined with aluminum or plastic, they are a recycling killer.
100% aluminum-free
Aluminum serves as an aroma barrier in most coffee packages. In principle, this would be okay, as aluminum itself is very recyclable. BUT: When aluminum is used in combination with plastic and paper, it means: zero recyclability.
That's why we don't use aluminum.
