Über das Projekt

In the Doko Chere regionin southern Ethiopia, around 1,800 smallholder farmerscultivate their small coffee farms. The ripe coffee cherries are brought to the washing station, carefully washed and then slowly dried on drying beds.

Together with the Farming Accelerator, the farmers are trained in sustainable coffee cultivation, soil health, and climate-resilient farming methods. At the same time, women are specifically supportedand family-run businesses are strengthened in the long term.

The result is an exceptionally clear and complex filter coffee that perfectly reflects the floral and fruity aromas of Yirgacheffe. These are precisely the kinds of projects we support with our CARETRADE approach– long-term, collaborative, and always with a focus on truly excellent specialty coffee.
