Cream

Mild, balanced, and pleasantly full-bodied.

Our Crema Ngila from Tanzania combines sweet caramel with subtle almond and fruity notes of dried fruits. A harmonious single origin with a mild character, balanced body, and a pleasantly smooth taste.

The ripe coffee cherries are carefully hand-picked on the Ngila Estate, wet-processed, and sorted multiple times. This results in a clear, balanced coffee that tastes uncomplicated yet shows character.

Ideal as a Café Crème or Lungo. Perfect for fully automatic machines, portafilters, and filter coffee machines.

We believe in real change – not empty labels. With our Caretrade philosophy, we focus on fair opportunities, direct trade, and responsibility from origin to cup.

Our beans come exclusively from the underdogs of the coffee world: young, female, or from Africa – people who are often overlooked but deliver more than expected.

Together with Jane Goodall, we support projects for education, environmental protection, and empowerment in Africa. And for the climate? Every emitted ton of CO₂ is offset through reforestation – with our partner Menschen für Menschen.

Tanzania | Ngorongoro | Ngila

At an altitude of approximately 1600 m, Vera Stücker's 100-hectare plantation is located on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater.

On Ngila Farm, coffee is still hand-picked. This manual labor ensures that only red, ripe coffee cherries are processed further. This harvesting method is the foundation for the coffee's quality.

After fermentation, the beans are again hand-sorted for quality before being sun-ripened on drying beds to a residual moisture content of approx. 12%, then hulled, cleaned, and packed in jute bags.

Where machines facilitate work, for example for mowing and mulching or for transporting the picked coffee, these have been added in recent years.

The focus here is on environmentally friendly use: Electric chainsaws not only simplify maintenance but also reduce diesel and oil consumption: A solar system of over 40 KW is sufficient for the farm's infrastructure.

The farm's water consumption has also been reduced to a fraction of previously common quantities through the use of an Eco Pulper, drip irrigation, and the construction of a recycling tank.

At times, more than 200 employees work on the farm, making this small farm an important employer in the region. Training for the various tasks on the farm, regular cupping during and after the harvest, and daily quality tests foster their appreciation for the product.

"Life is too short for bad coffee. The appreciation and value creation should begin with the producer at the origin and arrive with the coffee drinker – wherever in the world." Vera Stücker
